Final Piece

First, I had to take pictures of animals, I took some pictures of some cows and edited them to improve the colour.

Next, i had to take pictures of some form of beef, as this is what my final piece includes, I took pictures of a burger, as this is a good beef dish,

My next step is to print out my images. Then i will burn and cut through the paper where the cow is, to make a hole in the cow, then i will put the burger picture behind it, making the inside of the cow look like a burger.

I think this image worked. It symbolises the idea about showing where food comes from. For example, burgers come from cows. I think that my final image came out good, the burning of paper has made the image unique and the shape of the burger look interesting. I think the colours of the final image are quite yellow, this is because of the printer I had to use.

Analogue Camera

I did this photoshoot as I wanted to see how the analogue images portrayed the streets of Wem. The final images came out green because of the type of film i used. This could be fixed in photoshop.

Grotesque Eating - Individual Task

contact sheets

I think this image came out good. I think the lighting and angle have made my image look like the original picture. the final image was not as messy as i desired it to be. This was because we did the photoshoot in school, if i was to do this again, I would take the images somewhere which could be made messier.
I used a white background, this was so I could easily edit the background in photoshop afterwards to get the gradient effect. I used 3 lights and one umbrella. I used the umbrella to soften the light and make it a better final image.

Emulation - Beth Galton 'Foods In Half'

I think my image turned out good. I wanted to emulate an image from Beth Galtons 'Foods In Half'.
For this experiment, I used a black board to put the doughnuts on, and a black board for the background. I used one flash to light up the image to the correct colour. I think my image was very successful as I feel that I captured the naturalness and the realism that the original picture did not have.

HDR

HDR is a method that aims to add more "dynamic range" to photographs, where dynamic range is the ratio of light to dark in a photograph. Instead of just taking one photo, HDR uses three photos, taken at different exposures. You can then use image editing software to put those three images together and highlight the best parts of each photo.

AV and TV

AV is used to take images which have the background is blurred. It allows the camera to have aperture priority, this means you can adjust the aperture according to the situation you are in, Then the camera will automatically adjust the ISO and the shutter speed to match the aperture to make the picture a good exposure.

My Final Image

TV is used to give your camera shutter priority. Shutter priority is used when taking images of moving subjects. The camera then sets the other settings to match with the shutter speed. To make the image as best as possible.

Shutter speed refers to the length of time that you actually take the picture for. This is another method of controlling the amount of light that hits your sensor. A fast shutter speed allows less light to be captured, a slower speed will do the opposite. Faster shutter speeds are used for freezing images in their moment of time. Slower speeds can allow for moving items to “drag” across your image. You can do some really cool things these days with long exposures (very, very slow shutter speeds).
