Cyanotype and Light Sensitivity

cyanotype / blue print by Anna Maria Huber: Cyanotype & Mixed Media - Imchelaru on Flickr: LYNNETTE MILLER web site artist specializing in cyanotype:

Cyanotypes

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints. The process uses two chemicals: ammonium iron(III) citrate and potassium ferricyanide

Here are some examples:

Light Sensitivity

Photography is the science, art and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.
Some examples of materials you could use are;

  • Leaves
  • Cyanotype
  • Grass
  • Ordinary Paper
  • Photography Paper
  • Skin

Bokeh

Effects Every Photographer Should Know About. Idea from http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/design/eight-photography-effects/: Bokeh photography: Manually focus everything so the lights in the background are out of focus, and the subject (if there is one) is in focus. Also keep a small depth-of-field with a small aperture so the background is easily blurred (Av on the top options) Like and share :) : ‘Photography by Takashi Kitajima’ (2014). Design You Trust. The end result is peace and the ability to manifest all we desire.:

My Final Picture

This is my final Bokeh photo. I used fairy lights, and a circle cutout which I covered the lens with.

To improve my Bokeh, I could use a different shape, to make the lights and the more interesting. I could also make an actual picture with the bokeh, to make it more interesting to look at. Like the example pictures.
